    • Dr Hasib Khalid – Male
      Dr H Khalid has an interest in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Migraines
      I qualified in 2002 from Imperial College and initially pursued a surgical career. In 2009 I switched from Trauma and Orthopaedics to General Practice, completing GP training in 2012. I maintain an interest in bones and joints (and the patient attached to them!) in addition to being a generalist. Some facts: I have lived in Gloucester since 2007 having followed Dr (Mrs) Khalid here. I am a born and bred Brummie but have lost the accent somewhere. I have a motor racing licence and aim to race at the Nurburgring in the next year or two. I have a disproportionate love for Abba and the movies Miss Congeniality and Star Wars.
    • Dr Iain Jarvis – Male

      I graduated from Medical School in Cardiff in 1988 and got married in 1989 to Fiona. We have two grown-up children who have not followed me into medicine! I am an elder in my local church and am very involved there, including with our youth work. I am a keen runner and have completed 2 marathons and keeping finding other nice runs to do including European ones! I started to work as a GP in Gloucester in 1994. My medical interests are broad, but especially include mental health and learning disability. I look after a number of care homes for people with learning and / or physical disability, as well as being the practice lead for learning disability. I have an interest in osteoporosis and offer joint injections where appropriate. I am the practice lead for teaching and training , care homes and for research.

      Dr Bob Hodges – Male
      Dr Hodges has an interest in Dermatology, Minor Surgery, Diabetes and Frailty
      After six years in Medical School in Cardiff I decided to train as a pathologist, but after three years I realised that that wasn’t the career for me so I came to Gloucestershire to train as a GP in 2005. I joined Barnwood in 2008 and I’m now Clinical Director of the Primary Care Network. I work full-time and I have clinical interests in Diabetes and lifestyle, Men’s Health, Cancer, Dermatology, skin surgery and ENT medicine. I particularly enjoy looking after people with complex conditions and older people. I am now the club GP for Gloucester Rugby, which means I’m learning about sports medicine and head injuries. I’m also vice-chairman of the Gloucestershire Local Medical Committee, which represents the GPs of Gloucestershire. What little spare time I have left is mostly spent with my wife and adult daughter. I enjoy swimming, live music and I’m somewhat obsessed with rocket science and all things space, but spend most of my free time up hills with my Labrador Doris.

    • Dr Jhumpa Sarkar – Female
      Dr Sarkar has an interest in Women’s Health
      I spent my childhood in Gloucester and went to Coney Hill Junior School followed by Colwell School for Girls. I studied medicine at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, University of London and qualified in 1993. I initially trained in obstetrics and gynaecology (MRCOG 1999) and then decided to become a GP.  After training I got my first job at Saintbridge in 2003 and have remained ever since! I enjoy going on walks with my husband, cooking and reading Agatha Christie’s vast collection of stories.
    • Dr Sam Kuok – Female
      Dr Kuok has in interest in Lifestyle Medicine, Diabetes and Palliative Care
      I’m originally from Malaysia and graduated from Leicester University in 1998 (where I kissed my frog and found my “prince”). I did my GP training in Derbyshire then moved to Gloucestershire where I took on partnership at Saintbridge in 2003. My areas of interest include Lifestyle Medicine, Diabetes and Palliative Care. I am passionate about patients taking control of their own health. We have a great team delivering the Eat Real Food programme which focuses on Metabolic Syndrome. I love being with my family and friends. I enjoy good food and I need my yoga practice every Sunday to slow me down.
    • Dr Andreas Marksteiner – Male
      Dr Marksteiner has an interest in Anticoagulation
      I am originally from the Black Forest in Southern Germany and trained as GP in the UK where I have lived with my family since 1995. I have also worked as a  Clinical Assistant at a hospice in Kent. I enjoy being a part-time partner at Aspen now have a special interest in anticoagulation. I also very much enjoy being a trainer for Foundation year 2 doctors.
    • Dr Kannan Raj – Male
      Dr Raj has an interest in Child Health, Elderly Care and Frailty
      After my medical graduation from Madras, I spent around 10 years as a Family physician at the lovely tropical islands of Maldives, where I gained lots of experience with General Practice and Community Paediatrics. Following the fateful tsunami in 2004, I moved to the UK, trained further, and obtained Membership of RCGP.  I have been a GP in Gloucester since 2010. My interests include Pediatrics, Dermoscopy, Care of Frail elderly and Community Geriatrics. I enjoy reading and listening to instrumental music to relax and rejuvenate.

      •      Dr Christopher Andrews – Male
        I graduated from The Royal Free and University College London Medical School in 2006 and following that worked as a junior doctor in various central London teaching hospitals. I was a GP partner at a practice in Hertfordshire for 9 years, before moving recently to Gloucestershire. I am qualified to insert and remove the contraceptive implant and hold a diploma in aesthetic medicine. I have an interest in acne treatment and lifestyle medicine.
      •      Dr Joan Nash (she/her)
        I graduated from Liverpool University in 2004 and then worked as a junior doctor in Merseyside. I completed my GP training in Surrey before moving to Gloucestershire in 2011. I have additional qualifications in Old Age Medicine and in Occupational Health. I have been a partner at another practice then have worked in out-of-hours and as a locum GP for several local practices. I have interests in acute care, paediatrics and healthcare for trans and non-binary people. I am also the lead GP for migrant health in the practice.
      • Dr Laura Quentin – Female
        I graduated from the Hull York Medical School in 2009. I then completed my GP training in Birmingham where I worked as a salaried doctor before relocating to Gloucestershire with my husband and 3 children. I am particularly interested in Palliative Care and work with Dr Jarvis in our Learning Disability Team. Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors exploring the countryside, reading home and garden magazines, and socialising with friends.
      • Dr Nadine Burrows – Female
        I graduated from Bristol University in 2007 and completed my GP training in Wiltshire. I have worked in various areas within the South West, before setting roots with my family in Gloucester. I enjoy all aspects of General Practice and hope to develop my specialist interest in Sexual and Women’s health. In my spare time I like to decompress by listening to podcasts, watching films and forcing my family to join in with my impromptu home discos.
