The NHS service have now released an APP which allows you to have the same accessibility to the surgery as online services. You do not need to bring your ID in for verification as the app takes care of the whole process making this the perfect time to sign up.
We encourage you to sign up with this service if you still currently don’t manage your healthcare online, especially if you have repeat prescriptions – It has so many benefits and perks.
For our elderly patients who may find this process daunting but would still like to be able to use this function we recommend speaking with a trusted friend, carer or family member who may be able to help you. This APP does require access to a smart phone to authenticate yourself with your ID so you will need to be present with the person helping to register you.
